We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Superintendent to join our team at a Grey Oaks Country Club. As the Assistant Superintendent, you will work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent to maintain and improve the course's overall quality. Your responsibilities will include supervising daily course maintenance operations, implementing integrated pest management programs, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. You will also assist in planning and overseeing special projects such as course renovations and turf enhancements. The ideal candidate will have some experience in turfgrass management, irrigation systems, and personnel management.
In this role, we will expect you to collaborate with the maintenance team to achieve high standards in course presentation and playability. Additionally, you will be involved in inventory management and staff training. The Assistant Superintendent should possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Working towards or already have degree in Turfgrass Management or related field
At least 2 years of experience in golf course maintenance
Knowledge of turfgrass maintenance practices
Experience with irrigation systems and equipment
Certification or licensing in pesticide application (or obtained within 60-days)
Excellent leadership and team management skills
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
