Overview
We are seeking a Shopify E-Commerce Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations, optimization, and performance of our Shopify Plus storefront. This role is responsible for ensuring a seamless online experience, supporting frequent product launches, and maintaining overall site health and functionality.
The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of Shopify architecture, experience managing high-traffic e-commerce environments, and the ability to troubleshoot issues independently while collaborating cross-functionally.
Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain the Shopify Plus storefront, ensuring optimal performance and uptime
Execute website updates including product launches, landing pages, promotions, and content changes
Perform light code edits using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript as needed
Monitor and improve site performance, including page speed and load times
Troubleshoot issues related to themes, apps, integrations, and checkout functionality
Evaluate, configure, and manage third-party apps and integrations
Support multi-region storefronts, including localization, currency, and international configurations
Implement and maintain technical SEO best practices (redirects, indexing, site structure)
Collaborate with marketing, design, and technical teams to support campaigns and site enhancements
Ensure platform security, proper permissions, and adherence to best practices
Document technical processes, fixes, and improvements
Stay up to date on Shopify platform updates and recommend improvements
Technical Focus Areas
Shopify Plus storefront management
Theme customization and light front-end development
App ecosystem management and integrations
Website performance optimization
Multi-region e-commerce (Shopify Markets or similar)
Technical SEO implementation
Site stability and troubleshooting
Qualifications
46+ years of experience managing or maintaining Shopify-based e-commerce sites (Shopify Plus preferred)
Experience supporting high-traffic e-commerce environments with frequent updates or launches
Working knowledge of Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript
Experience managing Shopify apps and integrations
Familiarity with international storefronts, localization, and multi-currency setups
Strong understanding of e-commerce performance metrics and site optimization
Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work cross-functionally with marketing, design, and technical teams
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Nice to Have
Experience in DTC or consumer retail environments
Exposure to A/B testing or conversion rate optimization (CRO)
Familiarity with analytics tools (Google Analytics, etc.)
Experience with subscription, upsell, or personalization tools
