Part-Time Music Director Position Growing Reformed Presbyterian Church Are you passionate about leading God’s people in worship and helping a church grow in faith and musical excellence? Lansdale Presbyterian Church, a vibrant and growing Reformed Presbyterian congregation, is seeking a part-time Music Director to lead all church music ministries.

Position Summary We are seeking a Part-Time Music Director who will work closely with the pastor, worship committee, and musicians to plan and lead Christ-centered, theologically sound music for all worship services and special events. The ideal candidate will be both musically gifted and grounded in Reformed theology, passionate about equipping musicians to glorify God by playing skillfully and helping the congregation sing the gospel with clarity and joy.

Primary Responsibilities

Oversee all music ministries

Plan and lead music weekly for corporate worship services and occasional special services (e.g., Good Friday, Easter, Christmas Eve)

Select music that complements Scripture readings, sermon themes, and liturgical seasons in consultation with the Pastors.

Arrange/adapt music for different groups (band, choir, bell choir) as needed.

Lead rehearsal and performance of volunteers in various groups including weekly worship band, and the choir and bell choir when they are scheduled.

Recruit, audition, train, develop and schedule volunteer musicians and vocalists for services

Foster an atmosphere of prayer, humility, excellence, and fellowship within the music ministry.

Serve as a member of the Worship Committee.

Oversee and maintain music resources (including budget), collaborate with sound/AV team.

Introduce new music thoughtfully, balancing psalms, hymns, and contemporary songs in a blended worship style consistent with Reformed theology.

Background check required.

Hours & Compensation

Part-time position, approximately 10-15 hours per week (with potential for growth).

Competitive compensation commensurate with experience and education ($25+/hour)

Primary schedule includes Sunday mornings, weekly rehearsals, and occasional planning meetings.

Preferred start date: May 1, 2026 (flexible)
