Primary Purpose Corporate Relations is looking for a creative, passionate, engaging and detail‑focused individual to join the Company’s corporate relations team, which manages the company’s engagement with nonprofit and other community‑based organizations in northern Illinois. The main responsibilities for the person in this role include supporting and coordinating activities and special events for Corporate Relations and provide assistance with the administration of grants.
The person in this role will facilitate communication with nonprofit organizations, evaluate grant applications, review grant impact reports, oversee delivery of benefits for sponsorships, respond to proposals outside of focus areas, and track in‑kind requests. Additionally, this person will coordinate logistics for events, including oversight of invitations to company‑sponsored events and track invites to signature events.
This person will assist with planning efforts for volunteer and community events and assist with communications including department newsletters and email outreach. The person in this role will support department operations, including assistance with scheduling, support short‑term and long‑range business planning, and other duties as assigned. Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24 x 7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.
Primary Duties
Support and coordinate activities and special events for ComEd Corporate Relations and assist with the administration of grants. (20%)
Facilitate communication with nonprofit organizations, evaluate grant applications, review grant impact reports, track delivery of benefits for sponsorships, and track in‑kind requests. (15%)
Coordinate logistics for events, including oversight of invitations to company‑sponsored events and track invites to signature events. (15%)

Job Scope This is an individual contributor position that works under direct supervision and follows standard procedures to accomplish assigned tasks. This position is expected to resolve general questions and problems and determines when to refer more complex issue to higher levels. May require working extended hours and/or shift work to support business operations.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business/Communications/Marketing or Liberal Arts, or in lieu of Bachelor's degree, a minimum of 2–5 years relevant business experience is required.
Passion for corporate relations mission and experience managing corporate sponsorships.
Proficiency in standard software applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with Cybergrants, and demonstrated experience identifying and implementing technology to make processes more efficient.
Commitment to listening to and seeking out feedback to improve the team's programs and events.
Understanding of public affairs and current events.
Proactive, positive approach to attending team events, often on weekends and evenings.
Above average attention to detail and ability to multi‑task.
Experience seeking constructive feedback to improve programs and events.
Customer driven with good oral and written communications skills and basic analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications

Understanding of the nonprofit community in northern Illinois

Annual salary will vary based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors: $59,200.00/Yr. – $81,400.00/Yr.
