Holy Cross Church located in Batavia, IL is seeking an experienced Director of Liturgy and Sacred Music with 5+ years of experience in the following areas:
Liturgical Coordination
Liturgical planning and Collaboration
Music Direction and Ensemble Development
Maintaining Music Library and Licensing
The director’s responsibilities include assisting in the creation of a vision of sacred music in collaboration with the pastor. The director is responsible for coordinating all weekend liturgies, recruiting of musicians and cantors, and working with the liturgical ministry leaders. In addition, the Director maintains the music licenses, schedules the sound checks for the sound system and maintains the live stream for the church masses.
Other responsibilities that the Director may be responsible for based upon experience are: Social Media management, curator of branding and messaging, website and digital content management.
The role of Liturgy and Music Director can be either part‑time or full‑time based upon the years of experience and ability to take on other roles. Pay range $20-35 per hour commensurate with experience, ability and hours available to work per week.
