Corgan seeks an outstandingsenior leveldesigner with experience and passion for visualstory-tellingthrough graphic communication in the built environment to join our Brand + Graphics team.
This individual will join a team of creatives and support our Brand + Graphics team as a key contributorinthe design, documentation, and implementation of experiential graphic design features. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams of architects, interior designers, and consultants as well as clients, to deliver projects across sectors.
Responsibilities Providing technicalexpertiseand creative leadership across multiple projectsthat touch a variety ofsectors such as Office, Multifamily, Aviation, Education, Data Centersand more.
Design conceptsupportand development, ideallyusing3D modelingor other software tools
Guiding the design team in the practical and real-world buildability of concepts
Reviewing and redliningdesigns,documentationand production art generatedby junior staff members(QA/QC, detail-oriented)
Assistingin punch walks and site observation during installation and reviewing shop drawings/submittals
Coordination directly with vendors, contractors, and trade partners
Clearly communicatingwithProject Managers and Directorsthroughout the duration of projects
Identifyingopportunities to train and grow junior staff
Qualifications Qualified applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in one or more of the following: visual communication/graphic design, interior design, architecture, environmental design, industrial design, experientialdesignor a related field; and have at least 5years of experience in Environmental/ExperientialGraphic DesignorFabrication.
Other qualifications include:
Astrong portfolio ofwork featuringsignage,branded environments, donor recognition, identitydevelopmentand/or digital designfor the built environment
Knowledge in wayfinding strategiesand signage programming. SEGD membership/involvement a huge plus
Familiarity with architectural construction documents, scales, sections,plansand elevations
Possess a strong knowledge of typography and application of three-dimensional design
Exceptional knowledge of the Adobe Suite software to produce design intent packages for bid/fabrication; experiencein other 3D modeling and visualization software (such as Revit) is a plus.
Familiarity withMicrosoft Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Wordisrequired.
Knowledge of and experience withconstructionmaterialsand production methods
Outstandingand comprehensiveattention to detailfrom design elements tofile structures
Collaborative and professional work ethic and a motivation to grow
Flexible attitude, strong organizational skills, effective communication skills,confident presentationabilitiesand willingness to consistently juggle multiple deadlines. A team playerwith ability to motivate high-quality work from a team
This position is designated as
full-time on-site and requires the employee to be physically present at the assigned office location
Monday through Friday during standard business hours . Regular, reliable on-site attendance is an essential function of this role.
