We are looking for a smart, passionate, book and podcast‑obsessed editor to support the ongoing curation needs of the editorial team and oversee and grow the written interview program. The Senior Editor will define program goals, work cross‑functionally with partner teams, advocate for featured placement, create effective best practices, scale the program across global marketplaces, and measure and report on success. The role also involves active participation in editorial programs such as Editors Select and Best of the Year.

As a Senior Editor, you will…

Oversee Editorial’s written interview program, identifying authors to interview each season and working with the publisher relations team to secure the interviews.

Provide Editorial feedback on interview questions, ensuring the interview is both compelling and audio‑forward.

Shepherd the production of the interviews and localize them to marketplaces as appropriate.

Deliver on program results and create and oversee growth strategy, particularly in global marketplaces.

Offer subject‑matter expertise on various genres.

Conceive, pitch, create, and edit content for our blog designed to help listeners find their next great listen.

Basic Qualifications

Experience working with a Content Management System (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, Joomla, etc.).

Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

5+ years editorial experience, preferably in publishing or related field.

Experience scaling editorial programs and delivering on results.

Experience interviewing authors, narrators, or similar talent.

Preferred Qualifications

Speak, write, and read fluently in Spanish.

Experience working within a global company with multi‑country responsibilities.

Experience managing multiple complex projects and adapting to change.

Curatorial expertise and strong written skills.

Interest in and knowledge of the Australian marketplace.

Familiarity with Substack.

Passion for pop‑culture and current events, with a strong editorial sense.

Deep knowledge of books, authors, and the publishing industry, both recent releases and backlist titles.

USA, NJ, Newark – Salary: $124,900.00 – $178,100.00 USD annually.
