Are you ready to experiment with us?The PositionThe Associate Director, Social and Digital Marketing, will be a pivotal driver in shaping and expanding how we communicate to HCPs through social and digital channels. To that end, the right candidate will be well versed and experienced in the utilization and content consumption across different HCP personas within all major social platforms and web. They will continuously stay on the cutting edge of social media evolution, evolve business processes to stay relevant based on trends, and dig deep into data to have a holistic understanding of how messaging can impact behavior and action. The Associate Director will work with the OMNI channel team to create media plans across all our digital media.RelationshipsReports to the Director of Wegovy HCP Marketing. Collaborates with key external and internal cross-functional teams, including media, analytics, marketing, sales, medical affairs, market access and policy/advocacy (MAPA), and channel leads to support marketing tactics development and ensure alignment with overall brand/therapy area goals and insights. The role is part of the brand team and works closely with marketing team members to understand and translate brand/therapy area level strategy into valuable social experiences. Ensures consistency of brand/therapy area vision and messaging across all touchpoints.Essential FunctionsBrand/Therapy Area Management: Support the development and execution of pre-launch, launch, and ongoing HCP-related brand/therapy area strategic objectives and activation strategies for digital channels. Contribute to prioritizing HCP needs, opportunities, and sales forecasting to drive effective brand performanceBrand/Therapy Digital Strategy and Execution: Develop a nimble content model to support social and digital fueled by enhanced HCP targeting, digital trends, and market researchOmnichannel Tactical Planning and Execution: Lead the development of holistic tactical plans to support the omnichannel HCP marketing social strategy and HCP reach. Drive enhancements to current paid social media targeting strategyPerformance Monitoring: Work closely with analytics to lead and continuously improve report-out on insights. Monitor, track and report on key marketing performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of consumer social tactics and share with Consumer Marketing Team. Regularly analyze and report on the effectiveness of implemented tactics, making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement and optimize future activityContent Creation and Execution: Lead the creation of promotional, engagement and experience programs/materials including any personalization for key HCP segments within HCP campaigns. Ensure content integrates across social channels to create a unified brand/therapy area experience and complies with industry regulations and guidelines. Lead the development of a sustainable content repository, development, approval and trafficking processBudget Management: Ensure productive management of the marketing budget to optimize resources, drive effective strategies and ensure budgets remain on track. Manages agency budgets, reviews and scrutinizes budget requests. Evaluates appropriate use of resources to ensure attainment of unit, department and Company profitability goalsContinuous Improvement: Promote a culture of innovation and responsiveness by implementing 'test and learn' principles, actively seeking opportunities to enhance HCP interactions, and making recommendations for execution improvementsBudget Management Support: Assist with the effective management of the marketing budget, ensuring resource allocation is optimized for executing strategies while remaining compliant with financial goalsPhysical Requirements20-25 % overnight travel required.QualificationsRequires a Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree preferred10+ years of progressively responsible experience including experience within sales, brand management/HCP marketing experience, within the pharmaceutical industry requiredDeep knowledge of social marketing as well as HCP non-personal promotion across digital platformsExperience with media planningStrong project management skills with ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlinesStrong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teamsExperience in developing continuously improving marketing strategies and the ability to translate insights into actionable marketing evolutionStrong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate insights into action to guide customer experiencesEmbodies leadership behaviors, including authenticity, servant leadership, will, empathy, decisiveness, a growth mindset, and driving focus and simplicityWe commit to an inclusive recruitment process and equality of opportunity for all our job applicants.At Novo Nordisk, we're not chasing quick fixes – we're creating lasting change for long-term health.
