Come join the team and see how you can make a lasting impact on the world.We are looking for a Senior Director of Global Logistics to lead the NVIDIA logistics operations in a rapid growth company and industry. The logistics organization is a distributed team, with a wide range of experience and skills. The organization performs all forward logistics operations and supports some aspects of service logistics for all NVIDIA products in all regions. This leader will play a significant role in the development of the long-range network strategy of the company along with ensuring daily execution throughout the global supply chain. This leader will be an inspirational leader who works well in a company that prides itself on innovation, working across organizational boundaries, and delivering an outstanding customer experience. Additionally, given the hyper growth of the company, this leader should excel in a dynamic, agile and fast-paced environment where requirements change rapidly. This role reports to the VP of Planning, Logistics and Fulfillment.What you'll be doing:Develop and implement the vision and network strategy for future NVIDIA global logistics that delivers a truly world-class customer experienceWork closely with the global fulfillment leader to implement combined strategies for logistics and fulfillment operationsLead supplier and carrier performance to improve supply chain efficiency and sustainabilityDevelop logistics budgets and carrier compliance with company policies, procedures, and performance metricsLead all aspects of daily management and tracking of in-transit shipments from origin to destination including booking, document preparation (bill of lading, invoicing, certificate of origin, export declaration), follow-up, root cause analysis on issues and tracking delivery performanceEnsure all global trade requirements are met for both import and export complianceDevelop IT strategies to apply freight data in a clear way that supports efficient analytics and reportingWork with the product team to plan logistics solutions for new productsInspire and lead a global logistics team, to include developing, coaching, and mentoring team members, and communicating clear performance goals and expectations for team membersStay current with industry practices in logistics, operations, and transportation solutions to ensure regulatory compliance and drive innovationIdentify and implement artificial intelligence solutions to supplement other technologiesDevelop strategic relationships with key logistics partners to drive innovation and scalable process improvementsWhat we need to see:Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain, Logistics or Engineering (or equivalent experience).Confirmed experience in implementing new 3PL/carrier arrangements, handling third-party relations, and influencing cost and performance objectives18+ overall years of overall relevant experience in industry (3PL, freight forwarder, etc, operations) including 10+ years of demonstrated ability leading global logistics operationsExperience working with and/or leading global trade compliance activities and knowledge of import/export guidelinesDetailed understanding of international, heavyweight, parcel, ground, air, and ocean logistics operationsSophisticated knowledge of logistics related software and technology systems such as TMS (preferably SAP TMS), Shipping Systems, OMS, etc.Strong data analytics skills with ability to lead and drive complex analysis and provide specific guidance to analystsSuperior verbal, presentation, and written communication skillsWidely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers, NVIDIA offers highly competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package.
