Job PurposeOversee the plant controller function, driving plant-level financial planning, forecasting, and performance management across manufacturing. Ensure the overall financial health of the plants, including budgeting, cost control, and variance analysis. Partner closely with Plant Operations to support decision-making and drive cost optimization, while ensuring financial discipline and transparency.Essential FunctionsLead and mentor team of plant controllers, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvementDevelop and communicate policies for accounting processes in partnership with Plant OperationsLead the review and approval of journal entries and month-end activitiesLead the review of month-end results and variance analysisOversee the coordination/consolidation of reportingOversee the coordination/consolidation of AOP, throughputs, and activity ratesServe as SAP and Activity Rates subject matter expertOwn special projects as requested by Sr. Director of Operations FinanceEnsure coverage for interim Plant Controller responsibilities:Maintain financial operations at assigned plantsProcess SAP month-end procedures to identify and settle process order variancesMonitor and report on KPIs via weekly reports, including volume, throughputs, and run ratesReview and analyze variances to standards; review scrapPlan and prepare forecasts, AOP, and AOP standardsAct as partner for plant managers and plant management staffSupport food safety program, quality standards, and legality of manufactured productsPerform other job-related duties as assignedQualifications (Education, Experience, Competencies)Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting10+ years of progressive experience in Operations Finance or FP&A, preferably in the food industry5+ years of experience in plant finance, cost accounting, or operational finance within manufacturingExpertise in financial systems (SAP, Power BI) and advanced analyticsDeep knowledge of GAAP, budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and financial reportingStrong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning capabilitiesExcellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skillsAbility to lead teams, manage tight deadlines, and operate effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentCalifornia, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington, Washington, D.C. Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $170,089 to $212,610 annually. Pay is based upon several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. Rise Baking Company complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
