Job Summary A leading insurance company seeks a Contractors Insurance Underwriter to drive acquisition and retention of profitable customers within the Specialty Contractor Market (HVAC, Fire Suppression, Pest Control, Landscapers, Siders, Roofers, Plumbers, Fence Installers).
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain profitable business relationships with existing and future clients.
Analyze submissions from new and renewal clients to determine acceptable terms, rates, coverage limits, and pricing within assigned authority.
Accept, decline, price, or modify underwriting risks based on evaluation of exposures, claims history, loss control, and actuarial reports.
Establish profitable pricing models utilizing analysis from complex submissions and previous account losses.
Qualifications
5+ years underwriting experience with a strong focus on Contracting Businesses.
Existing relationships with agents and brokers within the industry.
Compensation & Benefits
$125,000 to $200,000 base salary with annual bonus opportunities, profit sharing, equity, and company contribution to pension plan.
Family medical, dental, and vision coverage.
Remote work from home possible.
