The Impact You Will Make

The Sales Counselor in a cemetery location is responsible for providing a customer‑focused experience during every interaction with families, guests, and community members. Utilizing the Everstory sales process, based on exemplary discovery, industry‑specific expertise, and customer‑driven solutions, the Sales Counselor will sell products and services to customers who want to pre‑plan their final arrangements and at their immediate time of need, while overseeing customer satisfaction. By effectively executing on monthly goals, the Sales Counselor will maximize revenue for the organization and succeed in a commission‑based selling environment. Responsibilities

Guide individuals and families through end‑of‑life memorial planning using sales presentations and tools provided by Everstory. Provide options that best meet their unique needs or the unique needs of a deceased loved one, including touring the location, identifying existing or potential plots, and advising customers on burial, entombment, cremation, memorials, and merchandise. Understand and present all associated costs and advise on financing, ensuring financing is finalized prior to internment. Manage daily CRM and lead database, including generating new leads via networking, online, and cold calling, generating referrals, and categorizing leads (hot, warm, cold). Plan and conduct community outreach events on‑site and off‑site to build relationships within the broader community and generate new leads. Complete all required paperwork, processes, and authorizations to finalize a sale and deliver the service/product from start to finish. Actively participate in supporting services at the location. Participate in all sales meetings, communicating effectively with local management and team members regarding activity, progress, and results. Core Competencies

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required; some additional education preferred in Business, Marketing, and/or Sales. 1 year of sales experience preferred. Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle; mileage reimbursement provided for job duties. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and Outlook) required. Experience with CRM preferred. Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information. Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed. Our Investment in You
