Key Account Manager - Orthopedics Essity is looking for an experienced Key Account Manager - Orthopedics. In this role, you will lead growth efforts in the U.S. Orthopedics market. This role will concentrate on driving growth within targeted IDNs, hospital groups, large strategic orthopedic clinics and orthopedic groups. As a Key Account Manager, you will implement strategies to achieve profitable business relationships and identify new revenue opportunities. Reporting to the National Sales Manager - Orthopedics, you’ll work collaboratively with the Strategic Account Management Team, Marketing Lead and Sales Leadership to meet company objectives and enhance brand awareness.
This will be a remote position. The ideal candidate should live near a major US international airport and be able to travel at least 40% per work week based on the Essity Regional structure.
What You Will Do
Build and maintain strategic relationships with targeted IDNs, strategic orthopedic clinics, and orthopedic offices to promote brand awareness and drive revenue growth.
Develop, implement, and monitor customer‑specific sales processes and account plans to meet or exceed sales targets.
Conduct frequent analyses of customer information to identify risks and opportunities and account plans.
Collaborate with customers and internal teams to negotiate contracts, including terms, pricing, and product offerings, in alignment with company strategies.
Provide ongoing support to high‑value customers by coordinating internal resources to meet their needs.
Reassess customer prioritization annually and propose aligned business actions.
Deliver market insights on customer needs and competitive activities to internal stakeholders.
Proactively generate new business opportunities through cold calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach, tracking progress in CRM.
Conduct in‑person or virtual customer meetings as well as drive successful attendance to regional workshops to drive orthopedic product growth.
Introduce new products, process orders, and provide exceptional customer service.
Support RSMs and distribution partners to help drive orthopedic revenue growth.
Who You Are
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales & Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of experience in commercial account sales, preferably in orthopedics.
Familiarity with distribution networks and purchasing practices to drive distribution channel relationships and revenue growth.
Proven success in IDN sales negotiations and sales strategy execution.
Lead C‑Level top‑down selling approach and collaboration with field sales force.
Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
Strong experience and skill set with CRM tools like PowerBI.
College‑level athletic experience or sports background is a plus.
Ability to travel at least 40% of the time domestically.
