Job Description
Job Summary We are hiring a Bankruptcy Accounts Specialist for a 52‑week contract supporting a large financial services client in Pensacola, FL (hybrid: onsite 3 days per week, remote 2 days per week). Pay ranges from $14–$19 per hour.
Responsibilities We’re seeking a Bankruptcy Accounts Specialist to support complex bankruptcy case management, asset recovery efforts, and legal coordination. In this role, you’ll analyze Chapter 7, 11, and 13 filings; assess fraud or abuse risks; manage time‑sensitive legal documents; collaborate with attorneys, trustees, and internal partners; and help guide strategy around litigation, reaffirmations, short sales, and other recovery activities. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in investigative work, is confident interpreting financial and legal data, and enjoys serving as a subject matter expert in a fast‑moving environment.
Qualifications
Experience working with bankruptcy filings, courts, attorneys, or trustees
Strong analytical, investigative, and problem‑solving skills
Ability to negotiate, explain decisions, and interact effectively in challenging situations
Working knowledge of federal/state laws related to bankruptcy or financial services
Experience handling financial transactions, account reviews, or collections processes
Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team
Strong communication skills with the ability to interpret and apply regulations
Desired: Background in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related coursework; familiarity with lending/collections systems or financial institution operations
