
Landscape Designer – Growth, Mentorship, Hybrid Schedule

MFLA, Munden Fry Landscape Associates, is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level landscape designer/architect to join either our San Francisco or Healdsburg studios. Candidates should have a design driven approach, rigorous attention to detail, be extremely well organized and collaborative.
MFLA:
Munden Fry Landscape Associates is a landscape and urban design studio with a long established presence in the Bay Area, North Bay, Sonoma and Napa regions. Our commissions comprise of master planning, hospitality, mixed-use residential, parks, waterfront re-development, campuses, streetscape and residential projects. We are a small, passionate team that relies on a creative and collective work environment to implement high quality designs for our clients.
Responsibilities:
Service current projects and our expanding private residential and hospitality client base with internal and external project teams from concept to construction administration
Contribute in project meetings with key partners that include clients, architects, developers, municipalities, and consultants.
Create design exhibits, diagrams, renderings and presentation materials
Coordinate with consultants under the mentorship of senior landscape architects

Location:
Must reside within commuting distance of either our Healdsburg, CA or our San Francisco, CA studios
US residency or citizenship status is required.
Qualifications:
Approximately 3-6 years professional experience in a landscape or related field
Strong technical experience on design software - AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, Modeling Software (Rhino, SketchUp, Lumion)
Strong communication skills – written, graphic and verbal
Project experience across multidisciplinary teams and project fees and key milestones
Rigorous oversight and involvement in developing graphic representations & coordinating technical project requirements
Horticultural knowledge within California’s unique environments
Hand sketching & drawing skills a plus
Experience in private residential and hospitality projects a plus
BA or MA in Landscape Architecture from accredited universities
Licensure in landscape architecture or desire to complete licensure is strongly encouraged (see below benefits offered for support in obtaining licensure)
