As a Senior Product Associate in the Payments Data & Analytics team, you contribute to the team by leveraging your expertise in product development and optimization to make a significant impact, supported by user research and customer feedback to fuel the creation of innovative products and continuously improve existing offerings. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and play a crucial role in shaping the future of our products and ongoing success.
The Senior Product Associate will work on the Customer Insights team and partner closely with Payments Product, Analytics, and Technology teams to deliver and enhance data-driven products that support Merchant Services and our clients. You will work on day-to-day product execution and end-to-end support—prioritizing analytics use cases, managing ad-hoc projects, and ensuring stakeholders (internal and external) receive timely, actionable insights. Ideal candidates are also passionate about building and scaling our next generation of AI powered features and products, with a track record of driving adoption from concept through launch and continuous improvement.
Job responsibilities
Partners with the Product Manager to identify new product opportunities that reflect the needs of our customers and the market through user research and discovery
Collaborate with Engineering/Architecture to define data platform capabilities and manage daily stand ups adopting Agile (write detailed product requirements, data pipelines, governance, lineage, metadata, MLOps, APIs) and ensure scalable, secure delivery.
Establish product KPIs/OKRs and analytics instrumentation to measure usage, satisfaction, and business impact; run experiments and A/B tests to improve engagement. Optimize adoption to drive desired business outcomes.
Work on end-to-end product support for an existing analytics product, including backlog management, release planning, documentation, and stakeholder communications to ensure stability and continuous improvement.
Considers and plans for upstream and downstream implications of new product features on the overall product experience
Supports the collection of user research, journey mapping, and market analysis to inform the strategic product roadmap and provide insight on potential product features that provide value to customers
Analyzes, tracks, and evaluates product metrics including work to time, cost, and quality targets across the product development life cycle
Writes the requirements, epics, and user stories to support product development
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area
Proficient knowledge of the product development life cycle
Experience in product life cycle activities including discovery and requirements definition
Developing knowledge of data analytics and data literacy
Management consulting skillset (problem solving, impact orientation, business understanding, program management, executive presence, presentation skills)
Demonstrated experience with enterprise data platforms, analytics tooling, and/or MLOps workflows (e.g., feature stores, model deployment, monitoring)
Familiarity with AI/ML concepts (supervised/unsupervised learning, evaluation metrics, drift, explainability) and translating them into product features and controls
Experience in data analytics (e.g., SQL or Python) – candidate needs to have the ability to analyze data to make decisions
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, technical, or business discipline, Masters in math, analytics or Business is preferred
Experience in the payments industry and/or fintech or technology-enabled industries is a plus
Experience in creating solutions leveraging AI and fluency with the different AI models (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google)
Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical topics to non-technical audiences and build consensus across diverse stakeholders
