Position Summary:

The Manager, Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) plays a critical role in supporting the end-to-end S&OP process by developing accurate sales forecasts, building demand plans, and ensuring cross-functional alignment between sales, marketing, supply chain, and finance. This role is highly analytical and planning-focused, requiring a strong command of data and forecasting tools to drive reliable, actionable insights that optimize inventory levels, reduce costs, and meet customer demand. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, intellectually curious, and eager to grow within a collaborative planning environment.

Job Functions Demand Planning & Sales Forecasting

Develop, maintain, and continuously refine monthly and rolling sales forecasts, product, and regional level using statistical modeling and market intelligence.

Translate sales pipeline data, historical trends, promotional calendars, and market inputs into actionable demand plans aligned with business objectives.

Collaborate closely with the sales and marketing teams to gather bottom‑up forecast inputs, challenge assumptions, and build consensus on a single, reconciled demand plan.

Measure and analyze forecast accuracy and bias; identify root causes of variance and implement corrective actions to improve future forecast performance.

Maintain demand planning tools and data inputs, ensuring data integrity and consistency across planning systems.

S&OP Process Support

Support the full monthly S&OP cycle, including pre‑S&OP data preparation, demand review, supply review, and executive S&OP meeting facilitation support.

Prepare and present S&OP reporting packages, dashboards, and KPI summaries that highlight gaps, risks, and opportunities across the planning horizon.

Coordinate cross‑functional S&OP meeting logistics, agendas, and follow‑up action tracking to ensure timely resolution of planning issues.

Serve as a key liaison between sales, production, logistics, and finance teams to maintain alignment and ensure the S&OP plan reflects current business realities.

Support the identification and escalation of demand/supply imbalances and assist in developing resolution scenarios for senior review.

Supply & Inventory Planning Collaboration

Partner with supply chain and production teams to align demand plans with supply capacity, flagging constraints and recommending adjustments to maintain target service levels.

Monitor inventory positions against plan and assist in identifying excess, short, or obsolete inventory risks, escalating findings with proposed corrective actions.

Support inventory optimization initiatives by providing demand‑side analysis to inform safety stock, reorder point, and replenishment strategies.

Reporting & Analytics

Build, maintain, and enhance planning reports and dashboards in Excel, Power BI, or equivalent tools to provide timely visibility into forecast performance, inventory levels, and S&OP metrics.

Conduct analysis to support strategic planning decisions, new product introductions, market expansions, and promotional evaluations.

Track and report on key S&OP KPIs including forecast accuracy, bias, inventory turns, fill rate, and days of supply.

Assist in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality, efficiency, and reliability of the S&OP process.

Systems & Data Management

Maintain accuracy and integrity of demand and planning data within ERP and S&OP planning software systems.

Document planning processes, assumptions, and methodologies to support knowledge continuity and process standardization.

Job Qualifications

Korean fluency is required.

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Statistics, or a related field required.

8+ years of progressive experience in strategic & demand planning, sales forecasting, S&OP, or supply chain planning roles.

Demonstrated experience building and managing sales forecasts and demand plans across multiple product lines or markets.

Prior experience supporting or participating in a structured S&OP process strongly preferred.

Experience in an equipment manufacturing environment (outdoor power, agriculture, construction, or related) is a plus.

Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to synthesize large data sets into clear, concise planning insights.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, forecasting models); experience with Power BI is a plus.

Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) and demand planning or S&OP software platforms.

Familiarity with statistical forecasting methods (moving averages, exponential smoothing, regression analysis).

Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate data into compelling narratives for cross‑functional and leadership audiences.

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple planning cycles simultaneously under deadline pressure.

Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable working in a cross‑functional team environment.

Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement frameworks is a plus.
