As the Senior Marketing Manager (Trade), you will bridge the gap between national marketing strategy and retail execution, turning global campaigns into localized wins. You don’t just manage accounts; you build lasting partnerships with store owners and staff who live for the sport. By blending grassroots event activation with creative in‑store storytelling, you ensure our brand is among the consideration set at every fitting. You will be responsible for maximizing consumer curiosity and channel confidence through data‑driven co‑op programs and inspired connection with our retail partners across the country.

Duties/Responsibilities
Act as the primary marketing point of contact for store owners and managers, gathering "front‑line" feedback on product performance and competitor activity.
Adapt global brand campaigns into localized, "run‑ready" toolkits specifically for the Run Specialty channel.
Co‑own and maintain a 12‑month rolling calendar of product launches, ensuring all retail partners have the assets and inventory needed for "day‑one" impact.
Review, approve, and track retailer‑led advertising proposals, ensuring brand alignment and maximizing ROI on joint marketing spends.
Oversee the design and installation of POP (window displays, footwear walls, and "tech‑story" signage) that simplifies the Mizuno core value proposition for customers.
Conduct regular market travel to understand retailer needs and the brand is positioned competitively against other footwear players.
Partner with sales teams to identify slow‑moving styles and create "floor‑up" promotional tactics to increase turn rates without heavy discounting.
Coordinate with sales team to manage brand presence at local 5Ks, marathons, and "demo days," ensuring high‑quality consumer interactions and product trial opportunities.
Support local influencers at the store or run club leaders with gear and content to turn them into authentic brand advocates.
Develop and deliver engaging staff training content for use on digital education platforms designed educate outfitters on Mizuno experiences, core technologies, and seasonal hero products.
Work cross‑functionally with Sales Managers, Territory Managers and the RBS team to ensure elevated events and brand touchpoints meet brand standards.
Maintain the B2B portal with up‑to‑date product copy, high‑res imagery, and educational videos for retail staff to use in their own digital marketing.
Analyze weekly sales data from key accounts to measure the effectiveness of specific trade marketing interventions.
Maintain meticulous records of the trade marketing budget, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within financial guardrails.
Assist in planning and execution of Mizuno Running’s attendance at major industry trade events.
Oversee creation, publication, and digital endpoint curation of Running catalogs/workbooks/consumer brochures with other internal stakeholders.
Work with other associate brand managers, marketing managers, product managers, and cross‑functional teams to communicate new product launches.
Required Skills/Abilities
3+ years of experience in retail, sales, events, marketing, or customer service
Knowledge and passion for running, products, and industry trends
Genuine enthusiasm for the running community and culture
Strong presentation, public speaking, and interpersonal skills (in‑person & virtual)
Self‑motivated, entrepreneurial, and highly organized
Collaborative team player with the ability to adapt in fast‑paced environments
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Valid driver’s license is required.
Education and Experience
1‑3 years of experience with CRM, digital, social media
Physical Requirements
Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, including operating a car
Ability to lift and move boxes, expo booth fixtures, and apparel and footwear racks and bags
Ability to evaluate marketing content for audio and visual quality, requiring strong hearing and visual acuity
Ability and willingness to work extended hours during event floor shifts
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer in an open office environment with artificial lighting and moderate noise levels
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
