Under the direction of the Head of Commercial Strategy and Enablement, the Commercial Banking Strategy Associatesupports strategic and operational initiatives across the regional commercial banking division. This role is responsible for analyzing business processes and financials, identifying improvement opportunities, and supporting the implementation of new models and systems aligned with the bank's evolving commercial operating framework. This position requires a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves approach, blending data analysis, process improvement, field support, and execution. Key Responsibilities Sales Strategy & Initiative Execution Support Commercial Banking sales strategy initiatives by analyzing performance data and assisting with execution across multiple workstreams. Help track and support sales initiatives such as goaling, calling strategy enhancements, and incentive-related analysis. Assist with organizing initiative updates, preparing materials, and following up with cross-functional partners to keep workstreams moving forward. Lead Generation & Opportunity Identification Support lead generation efforts by identifying opportunities across existing commercial clients, including products clients may not currently utilize. Assist with defining opportunity criteria for specific products (e.g., FX), including basic client profile characteristics and product applicability. Analyze data from Salesforce, Power BI, and Excel to produce banker-ready lead lists and supporting insights. Acute attention to detail – to confirm that you have this quality, include your favorite movie in your resume. Partner with product, strategy, and analytics teams to help monitor campaign effectiveness and refine targeting logic. Data Analysis & Business Insights Analyze Commercial Banking data related to deposits, loans, calling activity, and pipeline performance. Help identify and explain trends—supporting analysis on why performance is increasing or declining. Assist in correlating banker activity (e.g., calls tracked in Salesforce) with business outcomes. Support the development and maintenance of recurring reports and dashboards. Support Salesforce reporting, dashboards, and pipeline tracking in partnership with the Salesforce and sales enablement teams. Help reinforce sales process discipline through data quality checks and consistent reporting. Assist in Power BI dashboard updates and ad-hoc analysis requests. Assist in compiling executive-ready materials, including leadership updates and Commercial Banking presentations. Support preparation of materials used in senior leadership and Chief Banking Officer -level communications by ensuring accuracy, clarity, and consistency. Translate data into clear visuals and concise messaging. Client Coverage & Process Support Support account coverage and householding processes, including coordination when banker coverage changes. Partner with internal support teams to help ensure defined processes are initiated and followed. Monitor data to ensure client coverage and attribution remain accurate. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in commercial banking sales, product, strategy, or a related role. Strong working knowledge of: Salesforce (reports, dashboards, basic pipeline concepts) Power BI or similar business intelligence tools Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail. Ability to work effectively across teams and manage multiple priorities. Preferred Qualifications Exposure to commercial banking, lending products, deposits, treasury, or FX concepts. Experience supporting sales strategy, lead generation, or performance management initiatives. Familiarity with SQL or advanced analytics tools is a plus. Experience preparing presentation materials for leadership audiences.
