General Function
The
Manager, Business Development
is responsible for driving growth of OEM Server, Storage, Software, and Networking solutions by proactively partnering with inside sales, outbound sales, and marketing teams. This role focuses on qualifying and closing new business opportunities, expanding OEM solution awareness, and achieving product and services quota targets. The Manager will provide regular reporting to senior leadership to communicate progress toward goals.

Qualify, develop, and drive OEM server, storage, and networking opportunities through the full sales cycle for both prospective and existing clients.
Collaborate closely with inside sales, outbound sales, and marketing to accelerate OEM solution adoption.
Increase internal awareness of OEM solutions across sales and delivery teams.
Partner with sales and OEM partner management to leverage and maximize OEM programs, incentives, and offerings.
Proactively assess market demand, competitive trends, and emerging opportunities.
Facilitate strong national and regional relationships between Pomeroy and OEM partner teams.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Manage and support the centralized OEM Technical Configuration Team.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
7+ years
of experience in the IT industry in senior-level business development roles.
5+ years
of solution development experience.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Highly competitive, driven, and motivated to exceed targets.
Demonstrable experience with technology-focused objectives, initiatives, and strategies.
High School Diploma required;
BA/BS preferred
(technical discipline strongly preferred).
Relevant
sales
and
technical certifications
preferred.
Physical & Mental Demands Physical Requirements
Regularly required to sit, talk, hear, and operate standard office equipment.
Frequent walking, standing, and movement between work areas.
Ability to ascend/descend stairs as needed.
Close vision and ability to adjust focus is required.
Mental Requirements
Strong written and verbal communication; ability to read, interpret, and analyze data.
Ability to multitask and manage detailed work across multiple concurrent priorities.
Problem-solving, mathematical reasoning, and rapid learning of new concepts.
Ability to maintain composure and effectiveness in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
Regular interaction with colleagues, clients, and vendors.
Work Environment
General office environment with standard office equipment.
