
Performance Marketing Coordinator

Position Overview
The Performance Marketing Coordinator is critical to the business success of Sharks Sports & Entertainment (SSE). As part of the Integrated Marketing team, under the direction of the Sr. Manager, Marketing, the coordinator will assist in the development, planning, activation, and execution of various marketing campaigns across SSE, with the primary goal of growing revenue through an analytical mindset.
The coordinator will support the paid marketing efforts for the San Jose Sharks and SAP Center events, as well as collaborate on paid marketing (primarily digital) for the San Jose Barracuda, Sharks Ice facilities, and SSE merchandise.
This role will support digital engagement, partnership marketing, community and live event marketing campaigns through project management, activation duties and insightful analysis. They will also collaborate with Creative & Entertainment on the creation of advertisement and promotional materials.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for planning, implementation, and maintenance of paid media efforts, under the strategic guidance of the Sr. Manager, Marketing, which includes digital, TV, radio, outdoor and grassroots activation. They will also manage all associated tasks including media buying, trafficking, script writing, production, etc across SSE properties.
Support all aspects of campaign execution including but not limited to keyword research, writing ad copy, creative ideation and tracking and reporting across search, display, social, etc. for sales-driven and partnership-driven revenue efforts.
Manage creative assets and media vendors to ensure campaign launches as planned and on time.
Develop Sharks Ice social strategy to help increase brand awareness and conversion of key products.
Project‑manage revenue‑driven digital marketing campaigns, including trafficking creative elements to ensure that all elements are delivered on time and to specifications.
Utilize tools like CDC Forms, Formstack, etc. to build and manage sweepstakes rules and forms, lead generation forms for various departments, etc.
Assist in the execution of the annual promotional calendar including arena giveaways, themed ticket packages, and theme nights.
Work with content group to align paid and organic social media campaigns to promote the brand, drive traffic and engagement and increase sales.
With guidance from Sr. Manager, Marketing, monitor and gather analytics/research and compile statistics pertinent to planning and execution of marketing campaigns. Leverage analytics to establish benchmarks.
Assist in the execution of special live events such as street rallies, fan fests, draft parties, gaming tournaments, and skill competitions while working with cross‑functional teams to maximize revenue, impact and attendance.
Contribute to projects and initiatives as needed, ensuring all tasks are executed to the highest standard.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.
2+ years professional experience working in performance marketing, digital marketing, media buying, or marketing agency; experience in a high‑performing marketing organization is a plus.
Proficiency in coordinating and/or setting up campaigns in multiple advertising platforms including, but not limited to Meta, X, LinkedIn, Google Ads, Trade Desk, etc.
Full understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Physically navigate stairs and catwalks at SSE facilities during normal work hours and events with or without accommodation.
Ability to work occasional extended hours including nights, weekends, holidays (all with advance notice).
May be required to travel to other company locations.
May be required to attend conference, events, and training sessions within Bay Area or in‑or‑out‑of‑state locations.
