is hiring a

Legal ContractSpecialist

that will be primarily responsible for preparation of Business Associate Agreements and Acute and Behavioral Health physician and non‑physician contracts. This role will also assist with review and negotiation of various types of healthcare related contracts including, but not limited to, Managed Care agreements, Foster Care agreements, Education Affiliation and IT agreements, and Vendor contracts and leases.

Key Responsibilities include:

Complete timely review, analysis, and drafting of Business Associate Agreements

Serve as the liaison between UHS facilities and the facility vendors in the negotiation of contracts

Complete timely contract review, analysis, and drafting of Acute and Behavioral Health facility physician and non‑physician employment contracts, education affiliation, IT, managed care, foster care and vendor contracts, leases and other professional agreements as requested

Assist Contract Administrators with review, analysis and drafting of Behavioral Health facility physician and non‑physician employment contracts, education affiliation, leases and other professional agreements as requested

Serve as the main contact between facilities and corporate personnel regarding contracts. Provide contract guidance and training as needed

Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred with 1-3 years' experience of contract negotiation and preparation experience and an understanding of the legal implications of contract provisions.

Thorough knowledge and understanding of contract life‑cycles

Familiar with contract compliance including state and federal regulatory requirements, healthcare accreditation standards and all other applicable regulations that govern such agreements

Possess a thorough understanding of limitation of liability, indemnification, insurance and other such related contractual provisions

Ability to efficiently process a large number of contract requests in an organized and efficient manner

Strong negotiation, writing/contract preparation, verbal communication and presentation skills to clearly convey ideas based on the selected audience, and ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with all levels of personnel, including executive-level personnel and decision makers

Ability to draft and revise contracts
