Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, the position supports a highly collaborative Business Strategy & Client Relations team responsible for managing and monitoring initiatives related to client transactions and strategic growth initiatives. The internship responsibilities include supporting transactions related to loan acquisitions, loan sales, securitizations and other key projects designed to advance client objectives. This intern supports activities for a client portfolio that includes large private equity and hedge funds, REITs, government entities, insurance companies, investment banks and other institutions that invest in or manage mortgages and loans. Through this internship, the individual acquires hands‑on exposure to complex financial transactions, contributes to project tracking and execution, and the preparation of reporting, analysis and client‑facing materials. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop a foundational understanding of the mortgage finance ecosystem while working closely with senior leaders and cross‑functional teams to support high‑visibility client initiatives.

Qualifications

Current enrollment as a junior/ senior undergraduate student, or recently graduated from an accredited university/ college with a degree in Business, Finance, or related field

Experience working in a professional setting, student organization, research group, or team‑based environment

Proven experience preparing reports, presentations or communication materials for academic or professional projects

Exposure to financial services, real estate or client‑facing roles through coursework, internships or project experience preferred

Familiarity with mortgage finance, structured finance or capital markets concepts preferred

Previous internship or project experience in business, finance, real estate, client services or related area is preferred

Strong skills and experience in MS Word, Excel and Outlook

Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prepare clear and professional client‑facing materials

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments

Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills

Strong time management and organizational skills

Ability to prioritize numerous tasks and manage shifting priorities; ability to track deliverables and follow processes

Client focused with strong execution skills and results orientation

High‑level of precision with attention to detail and consistency

Flexible, open to change, ability to learn new things quickly

Ability to work in a collaborative environment and provide guidance for working groups
