The Campus Recreation Social Media Coordinator is responsible for planning, creating, and managing engaging content across social media platforms to promote programs, events, facilities, and services. This position plays a key role in increasing student engagement, brand awareness, and participation in campus recreation activities. Position Requirements
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience managing organizational social media accounts. Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Express, or similar tools). Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Availability to work evenings or weekends for event coverage as needed. Knowledge of social media analytics tools. Photography and/or video editing experience. Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related major. Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Create and publish engaging content (graphics, photos, videos, reels, stories) for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and X. Develop and maintain a content calendar aligned with program schedules and marketing campaigns. Attend events and programs to capture real-time content. Monitor and respond to comments and messages in a professional and timely manner. Track analytics and provide monthly performance reports with engagement metrics and growth insights. Collaborate with program coordinators to promote intramurals, club sports, fitness and wellness events, special events, and facility updates. Ensure all content aligns with university branding guidelines. Stay current on social media trends and recommend new strategies to increase engagement. Number of Positions Available
