
Trauma-Informed Outreach & Programs Specialist

Outreach Program Specialist Reports to : VP of Programs and Operations Compensation : $44,000/year
The mission of Jasmine Road and Jasmine Kitchen is to provide a path to healing and economic opportunity for women survivors of sex trafficking, prostitution, and addiction.
Key Responsibilities ● Managing the Jasmine Road applicant experience, including data entry, applicant and referral source communication, making referrals to outside agencies, and helping women through the admission process ● Offering affirmative, trauma-informed, peer-style support to our service population ● Facilitating a weekly therapeutic group for incarcerated survivors at Greenville County Detention Center and a weekly therapeutic group for residents of the Jasmine Road program ● Providing case management, resource navigation, and support for graduates of the Jasmine Road residential program, including residents of our transitional apartment program ● Supporting residential program operations by providing transportation services for resident appointments, meetings, and groups ● Timely, accurate documentation of services including graduate support, applications, applicant contact, and jail program participation
Requirements ● Ability to thrive on an energetic direct services team where excellence is the standard ● Experience connecting with and supporting people who have experienced addiction and/or commercial sexual exploitation ● Working knowledge of best practices for trauma-informed care ● At least 3 years experience in professional peer support or social work ● Educational background in human services, social work, psychology, or other relevant study. Bachelor's degree preferred. ● If LEE (lived experience expert), at least 3 years of continuous abstinence from drugs and alcohol ● Excellent communication skills, both written and oral ● Strong case management skills, including organization, resource navigation, attention to detail, and documentation ●
Applicants must be able to pass a criminal background check. This role includes outreach inside detention centers, which require staff and volunteers to have no criminal record for facility access
