Organic Social Media Manager, gt.school (Remote) - $100,000/year USD
Crossover, Atlanta, GA, United States
Introduction
You're not here to "manage social." You're here to architect it. Most education companies push safe, sanitized posts that communicate nothing meaningful. Your goal is to create a presence that stops ambitious parents in their tracks and makes them think, This is something else entirely. You prioritize qualified inbound inquiries over hollow engagement numbers.
About gt.school gt.school is an AI-driven K–8 program designed for gifted and talented students. Learners complete core academics in two hours and dedicate the remainder of their day to advanced coursework and practical skill development. The results are tangible. The distinction is unmistakable. What we require is a social footprint that builds trust at scale and converts credibility into genuine demand.
What You Will Be Doing
Establish gt.school's organic social footprint from the ground up with a rigorous publishing rhythm aligned to inbound parent engagement
Develop platform‑native storytelling that showcases authentic student outcomes, parent drivers, and founder insights without appearing rehearsed or sales‑driven
Manage the full execution pipeline: concept development, scripting, production, distribution, community interaction, and continuous refinement across key platforms
Conduct systematic tests to enhance reach, engagement depth, and conversion signals by leveraging performance analytics to inform strategy
Respond directly to comments and direct messages to build trust, demonstrate responsiveness, and cultivate community strength
What You Won’t Be Doing
Publishing placeholder content just to "maintain presence" or preserve a polished brand image
Receiving a fully developed channel strategy complete with templates and defined boundaries
Chasing superficial metrics that bear no relation to qualified parent pipeline
Executing isolated campaigns that lack genuine evidence and sustainable storytelling
Organic Social Media Manager Key Responsibilities Construct gt.school's social authority from zero so that discerning, high‑caliber parents routinely discover, believe in, and interact with the brand.
Basic Requirements
Established and expanded at least one social channel from 0 to 10,000+ followers (or comparable engagement growth) within 12 months; direct experience with at least two of: TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X/Twitter.
2+ years managing the complete social content process end‑to‑end, with 3+ specific examples of deliverables and outcomes.
Proven ability to use performance indicators (views, watch time, CTR, engagement) to inform measurable strategic adjustments.
1+ year operating in a startup, agency, or minimal‑structure setting where objectives evolved during execution.
Nice‑to‑have Requirements
Track record growing multiple social channels past initial momentum while sustaining a unified, distinctive voice
Experience developing education‑related or parent‑targeted brands where credibility and evidence matter more than promotional tactics
Proficiency in interview techniques or on‑camera guidance to draw out authentic narratives from students, parents, and founders
