'Business Development Representative — O&P (Part-Time, Boston)
Empire Additive Solutions, Boston, MA, United States
Empire Additive Solutions is a production polymer additive manufacturing facility in the Hudson Valley, NY — built specifically for orthotics and prosthetics. We print, finish, and ship parts with booked delivery windows and documented quality proof in every box. We are launching production in June 2025 and building our field team now.
We are looking for one experienced O&P professional in the Boston market who want to open doors for us on a flexible, part-time basis. Your job is discovery — understanding how clinics manage their fabrication workflow, identifying where their pain is, and creating qualified interest in working with EAS. You are not expected to close deals, negotiate pricing, or commit to delivery timelines. That is the founder's job.
What Makes You the Right Candidate
You have 5+ years working inside O&P — as a practitioner, manufacturer rep, territory manager, lab director, or distributor
Clinic owners and lab managers in your market know your name and will take your call
You understand what fabrication pain actually looks like — late deliveries, cosmetic inconsistency, documentation gaps
You are comfortable being the door-opener, not the closer — you do discovery and hand off to leadership
You want flexible income that fits around existing commitments — this is designed for that
What You Will Do
Reach out to O&P clinics and central fabrication labs in your market using your existing relationships first
Run structured 20-minute discovery conversations to understand their production workflow and pain points
Log accounts in HubSpot with structured notes — every conversation, same day
Secure Letters of Intent from qualified accounts and hand off to the EAS founder for commercial conversations
Weekly pipeline review call with Josh Kroner (30 min)
Compensation $35-$40/hr. + performance bonus. 1099 structure. Details discussed in first conversation.
To Apply
Send a brief note — not a resume — describing your O&P background, your market, and the kinds of relationships you have in it. Two or three sentences is enough. We will respond within 48 hours.
