
Business Development Representative

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our team. The BDR is responsible for driving new business growth for our warehouse lumping and logistics labor services. This role focuses on identifying potential clients, developing relationships with warehouse and distribution center leaders, and promoting our labor solutions to improve operational efficiency and throughput. The BDR plays a key role in generating new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and supporting overall company growth.
Key Responsibilities Prospecting & Lead Generation
Identify and research potential customers including warehouses, 3PLs, distribution centers, and manufacturers.
Qualify leads through calls, emails, networking, and industry outreach.
Maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients within target markets.
Sales & Client Acquisition
Present our warehouse labor services to decision-makers such as warehouse managers, operations directors, and logistics executives.
Conduct discovery calls and site visits to understand customer needs and operational challenges.
Prepare and deliver proposals, quotes, and service plans tailored to customer operations.
Close new business and support smooth onboarding of new accounts.
Relationship Management
Build and maintain long-term customer relationships to support ongoing service needs.
Serve as a point of contact during initial onboarding and coordinate with operations teams to ensure a successful launch.
Gather customer feedback to help refine service offerings and identify new opportunities.
Market & Competitor Awareness
Track industry trends in warehousing, labor services, 3PL operations, and supply chain labor demands.
Monitor competitor services and pricing to support strategic positioning.
Reporting & Communication
Maintain accurate CRM records for leads, opportunities, and customer interactions.
Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance updates to the leadership team.
Collaborate with operations and recruiting teams to align customer expectations with labor availability.
Qualifications
1–3 years of B2B sales, business development, or account management experience (logistics/warehouse industry preferred).
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to sell value in a service-based environment.
Understanding of warehouse operations, lumping services, or logistics labor (a plus).
Self-motivated, target-driven, and highly organized.
