What You’ll Do
The Purchasing Specialist will support our supply chain operations. This role involves coordinating procurement, logistics, inventory management, and vendor relationships to ensure efficient and cost-effective supply chain performance.
Procurement & Vendor Management
Source and negotiate with suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
Maintain strong relationships with vendors and monitor performance metrics.
Inventory & Logistics
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment to avoid shortages or overstock.
Collaborate with logistics partners to manage inbound and outbound shipments.
Data Analysis & Reporting
Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
Prepare regular reports on inventory, supplier performance, and logistics metrics.
Process Improvement
Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.
Support cross-functional teams in streamlining operations and reducing costs.
Compliance & Documentation
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, shipments, and inventory transactions.
Requirements Who you are:
You are detail-oriented, enjoy working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, and are confident negotiating business terms on behalf of our organization.
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four‑year college or university; or two or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, peers, operators, and customers.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
