Kerrisdale Capital is seeking a Hedge Fund Marketing / Investor Relations / Business Development professional to support the firm’s investor communication and capital raising efforts. This individual will work closely with senior leadership on a broad range of marketing, client service, and fundraising activities, helping the firm communicate its strategy, maintain strong relationships with current and prospective investors, and execute a professional, detail-oriented fundraising process.
This role is well suited for a mid-level professional with experience in hedge fund, private equity, investment management, or institutional financial services marketing who combines strong communication skills with excellent organization, follow-through, and judgment. The ideal candidate is polished, highly detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment.
Also open to candidates with financial analyst backgrounds (investment research, investment banking, equity research) aspiring to transition to marketing and investor relations roles.
Responsibilities: The Marketing Associate will support the firm’s investor relations and business development efforts across a range of functions, including:
Investor Relations & Client Service
Help manage communications with current and prospective investors
Coordinate follow-up materials, information requests, and ongoing investor correspondence
Support the preparation of investor update materials, due diligence responses, and other external communications
Assist in maintaining high-quality service levels for existing investors and contacts
Track investor activity, meeting notes, and follow-up items to ensure a disciplined process
Help manage prospective investor pipelines and outreach processes
Coordinate meetings, calls, and presentations with allocators, consultants, family offices, and other prospective investors
Prepare and tailor marketing materials for different audiences and stages of the fundraising process
Assist with diligence processes for new investor onboarding
Marketing Materials & Content
Help prepare, update, and refine pitch decks, firm overviews, due diligence questionnaires, one-pagers, and other marketing materials
Ensure consistency, accuracy, and professionalism across all external-facing documents
Coordinate with internal teams and external service providers on content, formatting, and production of materials
Maintain organized and current repositories of approved marketing materials and responses
Process Management & Reporting
Maintain CRM and investor contact databases with accuracy and discipline
Help track fundraising activity, pipeline developments, and related reporting
Support event planning, conference logistics, and investor meeting coordination where applicable
Assist with internal organization around investor targeting, follow-up, and business development priorities
Qualifications
Experience in investor relations, capital raising, fund marketing, business development, or client service within hedge funds, private equity, asset management, placement agents, or related financial institutions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal judgment
Ability to manage multiple workstreams and maintain a high standard of accuracy under tight deadlines
Strong proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and CRM or contact management systems
Preferred
Prior experience supporting institutional fundraising for an alternative asset manager
Familiarity with DDQs, subscription/onboarding processes, and investor diligence workflows
Experience preparing marketing materials for institutional investors, family offices, and consultants
Understanding of hedge fund structures, strategies, and allocators
