Our associates have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients in industries such as manufacturing, construction, dealership, real estate, wholesale and distribution, retail and more. Doeren Mayhew offers a diversified experience in public accounting, providing our employees with many opportunities to grow, develop and advance within their careers.Responsibilities:Lead preparation of various tax returns including individuals, C-Corp, S-Corp, partnerships, trust, estate, etc. for clients in a variety of industriesDemonstrate advanced technical aptitude of taxation and can handle complex returns and projects with confidenceUtilize analytical and decision-making skills to solve complex technical issuesReview the work of less experienced associates and provide guidance/mentorship to assist them in developing technical skillsBuild strong client relationships and ensure client needs are being metMaintain timely and accurate communication with team and clients to manage expectations, deadlines, and deliverablesAbility to train new employees on firm technology, processes and proceduresPresent new ideas and improvements for ways of performing tasks in order to achieve firm and departmental goalsSeek opportunities to participate in practice development to build network of referral sources.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in AccountingCPA License preferred but not requiredWillingness to pursue Masters Degree in Taxation or Masters Degree in AccountingMinimum of 3 years experience in domestic tax at public accounting firmAbility to manage people with differing personalities to meet the needs of the firm and clientsDemonstrated leadership qualities and ability to train interns and associatesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently, but also in a team environmentAbility to adapt quickly to new technology platformsAbility to manage multiple projects/clients and deadlinesCCH Axcess software experience a plusDoeren Mayhew is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
