We're seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Content Design to join our digital marketing. This hybrid is role in located in New York, NY.
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: Lead the strategy, execution, and governance of content-rich experiences across our digital ecosystem. This content designer will play an important role in shaping how our clients interact with our content across multiple channels, spanning web, social, events, and more. You will envision how content can be laid out, build scalable systems and templates, and operationalize quality standards that make our content findable, accessible, and measurable. A key part of the role will be to champion component-based web design, while extending design practices to multi-format storytelling. The ideal candidate blends visual storytelling and editorial craft with systems thinking, content ops expertise, and accessibility leadership-leveraging AI to accelerate delivery, raise quality, and unlock insights for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver clear, consistent, and intuitive content across multiple channels.
Craft multi-format narratives (short/long form, interactive, social, infographics) that adapt to channel best practices and meet audiences where they are.
Create and iterate on page templates and content models to streamline publishing time and enable multi-channel reuse.
Partner with UX to propose and co-create new components based on business goals, client needs, and performance data.
Design and assemble web pages using existing design system components and page templates.
Use performance insights (engagement, task completion, search behavior) to iterate content and optimize cross-channel experiences.
Maintain rigor in component usage, documentation, and governance to ensure consistency, scalability, accessibility, and speed.
Source, license, and curate imagery and visual assets, aligned to brand standards.
Evaluate and implement AI tools/workflows (e.g., content structuring, image variant generation, metadata creation, quality checks) to drive speed-to-market and consistency.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following: 5+ years of experience in content design/content strategy,
Proven expertise designing with enterprise design systems and CMS-driven sites; strong understanding of content modeling and template governance. Demonstrated ability to partner with UX, Brand and Marketing teams to translate business goals into visual stories. Hands-on experience with:
Design tools: Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud. CMS platforms (enterprise-scale). DAM systems, image optimization, and responsive design practices. Strong knowledge of accessibility standards.
Experience evaluating and implementing AI tools/workflows in content operations with appropriate guardrails.
Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
Portfolio that showcases component-based design, and measurable impact on performance or workflow efficiency.
Exposure to design tokens, multi-brand or multi-locale systems, and governance frameworks.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $83,000 and $134,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
