JOB SUMMARY

The Product Lead is responsible for translating approved product priorities into clearly defined, sequenced, and executable backlog items for assigned delivery pods.

This role operates at the pod level and partners closely with Technology, Design, and Experimentation to ensure delivery teams are working on the right scope, with clear requirements, aligned sequencing, and measurable outcomes.

The Product Lead does not define enterprise strategy or overall roadmap prioritization. Instead, this role operationalizes direction provided by the Director, Product and ensures disciplined backlog governance, requirement integrity, and day-to-day execution alignment across one or more delivery pods.

This role serves as the primary product point of contact for their assigned pods and ensures features are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to approved objectives.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Backlog Ownership & Pod-Level Execution Own the backlog for assigned delivery pods. Translate approved initiatives, enhancements, and maintenance items into Product Backlog Items (PBIs) such as epics, features, and detailed user stories/tasks. Ensure PBIs include clear acceptance criteria, business rules, edge cases, dependencies, and measurement requirements. Maintain backlog health, refinement cadence, and multi-sprint readiness. Partner with Technology Leads to support estimation and sprint/increment planning. Validate delivered functionality against documented requirements prior to release. Stakeholder Collaboration & Scope Clarification

Partner with stakeholders to clarify requirements and business intent for assigned initiatives. Facilitate working sessions to refine scope and eliminate ambiguity. Communicate business context and objectives to delivery teams to ensure shared understanding. Escalate scope gaps, trade-offs, or risks to the Director, Product as needed. Manage User Acceptance Test (UAT) processes with stakeholders to achieve their signoff prior to releasing features to Production applications. Enterprise Programs (When Assigned)

Support execution of platform-specific workstreams within PMO-led enterprise programs. Translate program objectives into actionable pod-level PBIs. Align pod-level milestones to program timelines. Provide delivery updates and risk insights to the Product Leadership and/or relevant Initiative Lead(s) for consolidated reporting. Enhancements & Maintenance

Support intake processes as needed for enhancements and maintenance items. Manage the execution of enhancements and maintenance items assigned to pods. Ensure analytics requirements are embedded within user stories. Support rapid iteration while maintaining scope discipline. Monitor delivery progress and proactively identify blockers. Capacity & Financial Awareness

Align pod-level commitments with defined capacity allocations. Support sizing and forecasting activities led by Product Leadership. Monitor sprint-level scope changes that may impact timeline or budget. Maintain visibility into initiative progress against approved scope. Cross-Functional Coordination

Partner closely with:

Technology Leads on feasibility and sequencing. UI/UX Design on experience alignment and artifact completeness. Experimentation & Research on testing and measurement needs. Coordinate dependencies across enterprise systems and integrations as required. Documentation & Governance

Maintain structured documentation in approved tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence). Ensure traceability between approved initiatives and backlog items. Support release readiness activities including scope validation and stakeholder communication. AI & Innovation:

Drive adoption of automation and AI-assisted practices leveraging AI tools to improve team productivity, automate workflows, and enhance operational efficiency. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS

DEGREE TYPE:

Bachelor's Degree

FIELD(S) OF STUDY:

Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration, Digital Media or Related Field. Master's Degree preferred

EXPERIENCE

5-8 years of experience in product management, product ownership, or business analysis. Experience working within Agile delivery environments. Experience writing detailed user stories and managing product backlogs. Experience collaborating with cross-functional delivery teams. Experience supporting enterprise-scale digital platforms preferred. Preferred:

Experience operating within internal/MSP hybrid delivery models. Experience in hospitality, travel, cruise, gaming, or consumer-facing digital ecosystems. Experience supporting web and/or mobile platforms Familiarity with CMS, PIM, personalization frameworks, booking systems, and enterprise integrations. COMPETENCIES & SKILLS

Strong backlog management and requirements documentation expertise. Ability to translate business needs into structured, executable scope. Strong facilitation and stakeholder communication skills. Solid understanding of Agile delivery methodologies. Detail-oriented with strong organizational discipline. Data-aware mindset with familiarity in experimentation frameworks. Ability to manage multiple pods or initiatives simultaneously. Strong collaboration skills across Product, Technology, and Design. CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES

Relevant certifications in product management, Agile methodologies, digital strategy, AI/ML, or cloud technologies preferred but not required.
