DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to lead and grow a dynamic tax division in Cordova, Tennessee. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with business owners, drive revenue growth, and build a scalable, high-performing team.Responsibilities:• Supervise the preparation and review of complex individual and business tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.• Develop and implement efficient workflows and accountability standards to enhance operational performance.• Lead tax strategy discussions with clients, providing tailored solutions that align with their financial goals.• Present and close paid tax planning engagements, contributing to recurring revenue growth.• Recruit, mentor, and develop tax professionals to build a strong team and support long-term scalability.• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for revenue, margin, and operational success.• Oversee the integration of tax services into broader advisory offerings to enhance client satisfaction.• Drive profitability within the tax division by managing expenses and optimizing resources.• Take ownership of the tax department's growth, transitioning from hands-on preparation to a leadership-focused role.• Ensure timely completion and quality control of all tax-related deliverables.Requirements• Active CPA or EA certification in good standing.• Minimum of 5 years of tax experience, with a focus on business-owner clients preferred.• Comprehensive understanding of federal and state tax laws, including S-Corps, partnerships, and complex returns.• Proven experience in client-facing advisory roles and delivering tailored tax strategies.• Demonstrated leadership skills and a proactive ownership mindset.• Prior experience managing a team and driving operational excellence.• Strong ability to sell or deliver tax planning engagements to clients.• Familiarity with integrated advisory or wealth management environments is a plus.Job typePerm
