Mortgage Lending Closer

The Mortgage Lending Closer assists AMOCO in achieving its mission of "serving the financial needs of our members" by verifying information in all loan files, ordering documents needed to complete files, updating information on the computer system, and paying property taxes on escrows in accordance with the company's policy and procedures and compliance with pertinent regulatory requirements. Reviews incoming documents to ensure complete, accurate information and updates information on the computer system. Requests and verifies the accuracy of incoming data and coordinates any problems/discrepancies with borrowers and loan originators. Assembles and analyzes borrower data and computes ratios for submission to loan underwriters. Prepares and sends commitment letters and adverse action notices. 20%

Orders credit reports, appraisals, surveys, and title commitments by faxing appropriate order forms to vendors. Prepares verification forms for income, deposits, and rent for mail, fax, or telephone as requested. 15%

Reviews closing documents and audits closed loans, including ELOCs. Updates the computer system based on the loan decision made by the underwriter. Prepares commitment letters or adverse action letters as needed. 15%

Interacts with customers to answer questions on loan qualification process, sets appointments with loan officer, and promotes all services available at the company. 10%

Completes instruction forms for closing and completes data entry for loan; review closing documents prepared by title office and verifies final loan terms. 10%

Receives and follows up on outstanding documentation. Upon receipt of sufficient information to make a loan decision, assembles, updates, and analyzes data in a timely manner for loan underwriter review. 5%
