Job Description

Job Summary:

Serves as a strategic analytics partner to manufacturing leadership, enabling better decision-making through standardized, actionable data visualizations and performance insights. This role goes beyond reporting to shape how leaders interpret, discuss, and act on data in daily management, continuous improvement, and strategy deployment across multiple manufacturing sites.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Own and standardize Tableau dashboards for manufacturing KPIs including OEE, throughput, scrap, rework, downtime, yield, labor efficiency, and on-time delivery, ensuring consistent definitions and visuals across sites

Guide leaders in how to use data, not just view it, by:

Framing dashboards for decision-making

Supporting tier meetings, daily management, and leadership reviews

Reinforcing focus on trends, variation, and action

Analyze production and quality data to identify performance gaps, root causes, and improvement opportunities, with emphasis on coaching teams through interpretation rather than delivering answers

Support Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, 5S, SMED, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping) by enabling teams to measure impact and sustain gains, not just report results

Establish baseline performance and define standard methods for measuring and tracking improvement, including process changes, capital investments, and standard work improvements

Partner with plant managers, CI leaders, engineers, and supervisors to define the "right" metrics, ensuring alignment to business objectives and operational reality

Automate recurring plant reports and reduce reliance on manual, ad-hoc reporting, freeing leaders to focus on problem solving

Ensure data accuracy and consistency across MES, ERP, quality systems, and maintenance systems, in partnership with IT and business systems teams

Translate complex manufacturing data into clear visual stories that drive action, ownership, and follow-up in daily management and leadership forums

Own KPI definitions, dashboard standards, and documentation to support scalable, enterprise-wide reporting and governance

Job Skills & Abilities :

Strong understanding of manufacturing KPIs and operational metrics and how they influence leadership behavior

Strong communication skills with the ability to challenge, coach, and influence leaders using data

Leadership-facing data storytelling

Manufacturing and operational analytics

Continuous improvement mindset

Root cause and variance analysis

Influencing decision-making without authority

Cross-functional collaboration

Standardization and governance thinking

Education and Experience :

Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Analytics, or related field

3+ years of experience in a manufacturing data analyst, operations analyst, or CI analyst role

Advanced hands-on experience with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server/Cloud, including dashboard design for executive and operational audiences

Experience working with manufacturing systems such as MES, ERP (SAP, Oracle, Epicor, etc.), CMMS, or quality systems

Working knowledge of SQL for querying production and operational databases

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to access and navigate all departments within assigned worksite

Must be able to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods of time
