Senior Director of Pharmacy Operations

Location: Miramar, FL

Compensation: $150‑$180/annually BOE

The Senior Director of Pharmacy Operations is a key leader responsible for ensuring that the company delivers high-quality, patient-centered home infusion therapy services including specialty drugs, maintains regulatory compliance, ensures accreditation requirements, and achieves financial performance targets.

Responsibilities

  • Operational Oversight: Oversee daily operations, including pharmacy, TPN, specialty drugs, procurement, intake, and delivery services to ensure efficient workflows and quality service.
  • Financial Management: Manage budgets, monitor financial performance, drug contracting strategies based on CMS and commercial fee schedules, and implement cost control measures to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations, including those set by the FDA, CMS, and accreditation bodies.
  • Quality Assurance: Lead quality improvement initiatives, monitor patient satisfaction, and drive clinical excellence in all aspects of home infusion therapy.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing pharmacy team; cultivate a positive organizational culture that supports employee engagement and professional growth.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a primary spokesperson for the pharmacy, communicating with the Executive Team, Health Plan partners and key stakeholders.

Education & Licensure

  • Must hold an RPh degree or higher
  • Bachelor's degree in pharmacy, business administration, healthcare management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in home infusion, specialty pharmacy, or a related healthcare service sector.
  • Hospital Infusion Pharmacy Experience
  • Prior experience in understanding Part B fee schedules, drug prior authorization, and knowledge of drug contracting strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of home infusion therapy, specialty drug management, site of care management, clinical best practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing industry trends.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Must hold an RPh degree or higher. Bachelor's degree in pharmacy, business administration, healthcare management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in home infusion, specialty pharmacy, or a related healthcare service sector and 3‑5 years of management.

Compensation for this role includes a range of $150‑$180k annually plus discretionary bonuses and benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) retirement plan. Salary range is disclosed as required by local law. The position is currently filled.
