
Director of Analytics

CommuniCare Health Services is a fast-growing provider of Post-Acute Care with over 140 facilities located in 7 states. CommuniCare is dedicated to our goal of creating Caring Communities where staff, residents and families join hands to overcome their daily challenges. We are currently hiring for a Director of Analytics role to support CommuniCare Advantage , a member of the CommuniCare Family of Companies. This is a hybrid role with 1-2 days per week in office.
Description and Purpose
The Director of Analytics provides strategic and operational leadership for the Analytics and Business Intelligence team. This role oversees analytics initiatives, manages project delivery, and partners with Data Architecture to ensure strong data governance, reliable data structures, and consistent metric definitions.
Job duties & responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and build teams of data analysts and BI developers, fostering a data-driven culture.
- Oversee analytics projects, ensuring appropriate scope, resourcing, and timely delivery.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and accessibility, maintaining compliance with data standards
- Translate business needs into technical and data requirements, establishing data standards and best practices.
- Guide data migrations with a focus on data quality and governance.
- Ensure analytics platforms integrate effectively with enterprise data solutions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to deliver analytics solutions.
- Maintain expertise in advanced SQL, including stored procedures, views, and functions.
Qualifications & Experience requirements
- 10+ years of progressive experience in data analysis, BI, or information management, with 5+ years in a management role.
- Deep knowledge of SQL, database architecture, data warehousing, BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker), and statistical modeling.
- Knowledge of healthcare data including claims, coding and clinical.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Master Preferred
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and data visualization.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Strong understanding of analytics and data management best practices.
- Experience optimizing complex SQL queries and working with modern database platforms.
- Familiarity with code versioning tools and performance monitoring techniques.
- Ability to plan resources from high-level requirements and troubleshoot database issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High ethical standards and a strong commitment to professionalism and respect.
