Overview
We are partnering with a respected, growth‑oriented financial services organization seeking a Director of Information Technology to lead enterprise technology strategy, operations, and modernization efforts. This role blends hands‑on technical credibility with executive‑level leadership, overseeing IT operations, information security, cloud platforms, and business solutions. The ideal leader can evaluate technology challenges, recommend solutions, and guide teams through execution while aligning IT initiatives tightly to business objectives.
Experience supporting trust services, wealth management, estate administration, or retirement planning environments is highly valued.
What You’ll Do
- Provide strategic and operational leadership across IT Operations, Information Security, and Business Solutions
- Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities
- Lead and grow a high‑performing IT team through mentorship, accountability, and a service‑first mindset
- Partner with executive leadership to translate business needs into scalable, secure technology solutions
- Act as a change leader—driving adoption of modern platforms, tools, and processes
- Oversee day‑to‑day IT service delivery while improving reliability, security, and efficiency
- Direct planning and execution of technology initiatives, ensuring on‑time and on‑budget delivery
- Evaluate and evolve enterprise architecture, standards, and platforms
- Lead vendor selection, contract management, and managed service relationships
- Assess current systems and workflows, recommending improvements to infrastructure and applications
- Monitor performance of systems and major initiatives; report risks, progress, and opportunities to leadership
- Lead special projects and enterprise initiatives as needed
Technology Environment
This is a director‑level role that requires technical fluency, not just oversight.

What We’re Looking For
- 5–10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience
- Proven experience leading enterprise IT teams and initiatives
- Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies and modern delivery practices
- Demonstrated success implementing cloud‑based and SaaS solutions
- Ability to evaluate technologies and confidently recommend solutions or platforms
- Experience supporting regulated or highly confidential environments
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders
- Strong relationship‑building skills across executive, technical, and business teamsBachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Preferred Experience
- Background supporting trust, wealth management, estate administration, or retirement planning organizations
- (Experience limited strictly to banking or generic finance is less ideal)
- Project or program management certifications
- Experience modernizing legacy environments
- Exposure to analytics, reporting, or data‑driven decision platforms
- History of leading teams through change and growth
