Senior Fixed Income, ALM & Derivatives Portfolio Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned professional with deep expertise in fixed income securities and derivative instruments, with no responsibility for equity or stock portfolio management. The ideal candidate will bring at least 10 years of progressive experience in capital markets or trading desk environments, including a minimum of five years managing fixed income portfolios using interest rate analytics and derivatives. This individual should have a solid understanding of the credit union industry, balance sheet management, and applicable regulatory requirements. Success in the role requires exceptional analytical, organizational, communication, and decision-making skills, along with the ability to assess market conditions, apply research insights, and make timely investment decisions. Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to clearly communicate complex fixed income and ALM concepts to diverse audiences are also essential.

Salary for this role ranges from $160,000-$165,000 depending on experience.

Skills and Requirements

•10 years of experience in capital markets or fixed-income desk environments -flexible

•5 years of portfolio management – 3 or 4 is fine

oFixed-income strategies, interest-rate analytics, and derivative usage

•Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field

•Proficient in Bloomberg

•Understanding of credit union industry

oBalance sheet management and regulatory requirements

•Experience with derivative products (hedging or portfolio positioning) •Commercial lending experience
