Job Overview

The Director is responsible for leading the end-to-end execution of M&A transactions from initial diligence through deal close. This role owns the deal process, including financial modeling, business and financial due diligence, deal structuring, and executive-level presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall M&A deal execution process from diligence through signing.
  • Drive financial modeling, valuation, and business and financial due diligence activities.
  • Develop deal theses, approval materials, and executive level presentations.
  • Present transaction recommendations, deal structures, and key considerations to executive leadership and the Board.
  • Partner with internal leaders across Industry, Practice, and functional teams to evaluate potential investment opportunities.
  • Communicate deal structure, economics, and strategic rationale to prospective acquisition targets.
  • Manage deal progression from letter of intent (LOI) through execution of definitive agreements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Ten (10) or more years of experience in M&A, financial modeling, and due diligence.
    • One (1) or more years of experience in professional services strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong executive level presentation and communication skills.
  • Experience building and leading teams in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work effectively.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Clear, concise verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced financial and analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to influence senior leaders and key decision-makers.
  • Strong process orientation with high attention to detail.
  • High level of comfort presenting to executive leadership teams and Boards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook; working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated base pay range for this role is $156,000-$210,000, with offers typically not made at the maximum, allowing for future salary increases. The actual salary at the time of offer depends on business-related factors like location, skills, experience, training/education, licensure, certifications, business needs, current associate pay, and relevant employment laws.

Individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, subject to participation rules and based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual and Firm performance.
