Job DescriptionOur client is seeking a Senior QA Automation Lead specializing in data integration and ETL testing responsible for leading enterprise QA programs, validating large-scale data pipelines, and ensuring data quality across Azure-based data platforms. (Hybrid- Toronto 3 days/wk)
Must Have Skills
15+ years of QA/testing experience with strong leadership experienceStrong experience in data integration and ETL testing (ADF and SSIS)Advanced SQL skills (Snowflake and SQL Server) for data validation and query-based testingHands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure cloud services, and SnowflakeExperience building QA automation frameworks using Python and PlaywrightExperience with CI/CD pipelines and QA automation using Azure DevOps
Nice to Have Skills
Experience with API testing for data servicesFamiliarity with investment management or financial services domainExperience with data warehousing, data modeling, and data migration testingUnderstanding of data governance and compliance frameworksExperience working with cross-shore teams (onshore, offshore, nearshore)Strong technical documentation and knowledge transfer experience
Responsibilities
Establish and implement a formal QA program for enterprise data integration and ETL workflowsLead and mentor a QA team supporting enterprise data initiativesDesign, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans for SSIS and Azure Data Factory pipelinesValidate data transformations, data loads, and pipeline accuracy across enterprise systemsDevelop QA automation frameworks for data validation and regression testingOptimize SQL-based data validation scripts for performance and scalabilityCollaborate with data engineers, developers, and business analysts to align QA with project goalsConduct performance and scalability testing for ETL jobs and data workflowsManage QA configurations and enforce data quality and governance standardsImplement automated testing and deployment processes using Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelinesCreate technical documentation and knowledge transfer materials for operational teams
