DELAMAR-Traverse City is seeking a Director of Rooms

to lead and oversee our Front Office and Housekeeping teams. This role is critical in ensuring seamless Rooms Division operations, exceptional guest satisfaction, and the highest standards of service and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities: Monitor and improve guest satisfaction levels and operational trends. Oversee all Rooms Division departments, including Front Desk, Concierge, and Housekeeping. Maintain departmental budgets, optimize scheduling, and manage inventory and cost controls. Set goals, schedules, policies, and procedures for the department. Ensure performance, appearance, and training of team members meet high standards. Promote a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and continuous development. Ensure all team members are fully trained on room categories, amenities, and hotel offerings. Maintain strong internal and external communication and vendor relations. Ensure staffing levels meet business needs and drive high-quality service delivery. Conduct regular communication meetings and follow through with actionable steps. Lead recruitment, training, and succession planning for the Rooms Division. Ensure compliance with hotel safety, security, and health regulations. Oversee proper use and maintenance of OPERA PMS. Collaborate cross-departmentally to ensure a seamless guest experience. Work hand in hand with Chief Engineer to ensure an effective Preventative Maintenance program for guest rooms.

Qualifications/ Requirements: Proven experience in a Rooms Division or Front Office leadership role in a luxury property. Strong leadership, motivational, and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational, financial, and planning abilities. Effective communication and team management skills. Experience working with OPERA PMS is
