Responsibilities
Kforce has a client in need of a Senior SDET in Jersey City, NJ.Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement automated tests to ensure the quality of software products Work to understand software requirements Design, develop and maintain automated tests that validate the functionality Identify and resolve defects and improve the overall software testing process Implement and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CICD) processes Diagnose and remediate software defects Stay ahead of with new software testing methodologies, tools, and technologies Understand and apply industry-specific best practices & standards Establish level of expertise in the business areas, systems and platforms being supported Responsible for system integration testing, including automation, of newly developed or enhanced applications Responsible for reviewing requirements and design artifacts, developing unit, integration and system test cases, ensuring extensive test coverage for our applications Understand and articulate the business and the value adds Play an active role in translating business and functional requirements into concrete results Responsible for Project Coordination and Technical Management tasks Skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, and/or a related field 7-10+ years with automated unit and integration testing Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools, such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, etc. as well as CI/CD technologies Extensive experience with testing modern scripting language-based components Strong experience with automated testing and test-driven development Detailed understanding of smoke testing, functional, and non-black box testing, as well as regression testing Knowledge of software testing methodologies and techniques, including unit testing, integration testing, and functional testing Expert and hands on with backend test automation using Rest Assured/Karate for API testing. JDBC/JPA for database testing Experience in Java Application Development Proficiency in at least one programming language Knowledge of Databases and SQL preferred Experience in writing SQL queries Experienced in Agile/Waterfall, onsite/offshore work model and coordination Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Positive relationship and collaboration skills
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
