Job Summary/Description: We are seeking a timely, dependable, motivated individual to join our broadcast operations team, bringing programming and live local news to our viewers. You will work behind the scenes, in an all-digital production/master control environment using Harris ADC Automation, the Ross Overdrive Production System, along with Vizrt graphics and ENPS. Flexible schedules are a must, as we deliver content around the clock.

This Technical Media Producer position fully encompasses the roles of master control operator and director.

Responsibilities:

Program acquisition, processing, QC checking, tuning satellite downlinks, and managing programming playlists through Air Client & automation software.

Maintain hourly transmitter logs, note discrepancies in programming/break inventory, and troubleshoot as needed.

Publish content to WITN’s digital platforms.

Direct live newscasts using the Ross Overdrive system, pre‑coding shows in ENPS, executing them to an error‑free standard.

Maintain focus on multiple aspects of a show for extended periods, checking ahead and familiar with the rundown.

Lead, communicate, and cue talent to ensure precise timing.

Perform well under tight deadlines and quick reaction time.

Work rotating schedule: overnight, early morning, weekends, and fill in for others when needed.

Qualifications/Requirements:

A degree in communications, broadcast media, or film is ideal. Television production or broadcast experience preferred; film and video production experience is also helpful.

Education and experience in other related fields can also be acceptable.

Problem solvers and enthusiastic learners with a solid foundation in applicable fields.

Meticulous, with an ability to acquire new skills quickly and apply them across a broad range of scenarios.

Ability to remain focused and on task, without direct supervision.

Comfortable with the continually changing landscape of broadcast technology, adapting to new equipment and workflows routinely.
