The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of overseeing development and production in digital video (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, FAST, etc.) and strong storytelling and editorial skills, including experience developing talent-driven formats and culturally relevant content within the design, architecture, and lifestyle space. This individual will have a keen eye for ambitious, design-forward storytelling and the ability to generate ideas that enhance and grow AD’s presence across platforms, balancing celebrity-driven access, expert-led content, and service-oriented storytelling.
## **Primary Responsibilities*** Lead, shape, and implement the programming strategy for AD’s global digital video channels, using a combination of data analysis and editorial judgment to guide decision-making.* Establish an on-brand, cohesive look and feel for video content across platforms and markets, ensuring consistency with AD’s visual identity and editorial voice.* Uphold AD’s sensibilities, quality standards, and authority in design and architecture, while fostering key talent relationships and supporting innovation across formats and platforms.* Drive storytelling development and execution, bringing fresh perspective to AD’s video slate across design, architecture, culture, celebrity, and lifestyle content.* Oversee the programming planning process from start to finish, including editorial calendars and forecasting, to meet or exceed KPIs, drive audience engagement, and maintain cultural relevance.* Lead the development team in generating ideas for new pilots and existing series, building scalable franchises and contributing to the creation of monetizable video IP from pre-production through post-production.* Serve as a key video liaison across Editorial, Commercial, Consumer, and Production teams, ensuring alignment on priorities and opportunities.* Oversee a team of programming professionals, providing guidance, feedback, and leadership across the video lifecycle.* Work closely with global video teams to share best practices, expand successful franchises, and build monetizable opportunities across the network, while partnering with stakeholders to support revenue growth through video initiatives.* Establish and maintain processes that ensure creative excellence, working closely with production and operations teams to support efficient workflows, clear communication, strong storytelling, and on-time delivery.* Review and approve key creative materials across development and production, including treatments, scripts, casting, budgets, and final edits.* Ensure a strong and consistent pipeline of new content while identifying opportunities to resurface and extend the life of archival content.* Partner with Content Planning and Analysis, Creative Optimization, and Audience Development teams to monitor channel performance, understand audience behavior, and inform content strategy.## **Desired Skills and Qualifications*** 10+ years of experience in multiplatform video storytelling, including producing, developing, and programming content across digital and/or linear platforms.* Strong creative sensibility with a deep interest in AD’s core content areas, including interior design, architecture, home tours, creative living, and design culture.* Proven track record of growing audiences, overseeing creative execution, and developing brand-appropriate video content with sustained success.* Entrepreneurial, strategic, and adaptable mindset, with a proactive approach to building and evolving video offerings.* Deep knowledge of the digital video landscape, including platform-specific best practices across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and emerging channels.* Experience identifying and developing revenue opportunities tied to video content.* Strong leadership experience managing creative teams and multiple concurrent projects.* Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.* Experience working within matrixed organizations and collaborating across teams.* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external partners.* Demonstrated ability to build collaborative, inclusive team environments and maintain high creative standards.* Familiarity with the brands and businesses of Condé Nast.The expected base salary range for this position is from $182,000 - $211,000.
