Position Overview The Director / Senior Director, IT will lead Korsana’s IT strategy and operations, with accountability for building and maintaining secure, scalable, and reliable technology infrastructure to support a growing biotech organization. This role will partner closely with leadership and functional teams to enable scientific execution, protect company data, and support efficient day-to-day operations.

This position requires a leader who can operate strategically while remaining hands‑on, managing core IT systems and vendors, leading IT planning and execution for an office buildout, and providing oversight of select facilities‑related coordination. Experience establishing AI usage guidelines and supporting emerging AI tools in a regulated or data‑sensitive environment is highly valued.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute Korsana’s IT strategy aligned with company growth, scientific needs, and security requirements

Own day-to-day IT operations, including systems reliability, user support, access management, and issue resolution

Implement and manage core IT systems, infrastructure, and security controls to support a growing biotech organization

Establish and maintain data security, privacy, and access standards

Partner with leadership and functional teams to assess technology needs and deliver scalable, practical solutions

Lead IT planning and execution for office buildouts and ongoing workplace technology needs, in coordination with facilities vendors

Develop guidelines and best practices for the responsible use of AI tools and technologies

Manage external IT vendors and service providers to ensure performance, cost‑effectiveness, and alignment with company priorities

Develop and manage IT budget, forecasts, and capital plans

Establish repeatable processes and IT-governance frameworks to support scalability, compliance, and business continuity

Support future readiness for ITGCs and cybersecurity program aligned with public‑company expectations (e.g., access controls, system change documentation)

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent industry experience

8+ years of IT experience, with prior responsibility for both strategy and hands‑on execution

Experience supporting technology needs in a biotech, life sciences, or other regulated or data‑intensive environment strongly preferred

Demonstrated experience implementing and managing core IT systems in a growing organization

Experience supporting office buildouts or workplace technology implementations

Familiarity with AI tools and the development of usage guidelines or governance frameworks is a plus

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $255,000–$275,000. This role may also be eligible for a target annual bonus and equity‑based compensation, as well as participation in the company’s benefit programs. Actual compensation will depend on offered will depend on several factors, which may include, but is not limited to relevant years of experience, educational background, and geography.
