This is a strategic, hands‑on role where you'll be the expert in what's possible across a wide variety of supported products like smart TVs, streaming devices, and tablets. You'll design for the distinct contexts of communal living room experiences versus personal tablet interactions, balancing entertainment‑focused use cases with productivity‑driven workflows. Your mission is to create, explore and bring to life familiar, harmonious experiences that feel native to each product line while integrating Alexa's agentic capabilities as a natural extension of the user interface—ensuring AI assistance enhances rather than disrupts the core experience across our evolving ecosystem. You'll collaborate across product lines including Alexa, Prime Video & Kindle to promote Amazon's flywheel effect and deliver "magical together" customer experiences that showcase the power of our integrated services.

Key Job Responsibilities

Vision Setting: Define and prototype the future of agentic integrations across Fire TV & Tablet experiences, focusing on how AI transforms product experiences

Cross-Endpoint Design: Create harmonized experiences that integrate seamlessly across teams, platforms, and device types

Systems & Visual Design: Lead end-to-end design from concept through UI, systems design, and prototyping—working across design verticals to evolve and scale product design systems and visual languages

Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with and influence stakeholders at Director and VP level, serving as a strong customer and design advocate as well as bar raiser for quality of work

Customer-Centered Innovation: Analyze customer problems, needs and insights to craft delightful solutions that meet measurable customer outcomes and business goals, creating user-centered designs by considering market analysis, customer feedback, site metrics, and usability findings

Thought Leadership: Serve as a design partner, thought leader and creative director, contributing to strategic direction and execution

Hands‑On Execution: Quickly yet thoroughly create process flows, wireframes, and visual design mockups to effectively conceptualize and communicate detailed interaction behaviors, articulating clear customer "mental models" and systems architectures

Collaboration: Partner with development teams to build experiences—provide appropriate design specifications, create assets, and review finished interfaces

Basic Qualifications

10+ years of product design experience with proven track record of shipping consumer products

Available online portfolio demonstrating excellence in User Interface Design, Information Architecture, Visual and Interaction Design a full-stack product designer with motion design as a bonus

Experience in life cycle design projects from design strategy through execution

Strong systems thinking and visual design capabilities

Strong prototyping skills to bring concepts to life

Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and complexity in fast-paced environments

Strong communication and storytelling abilities

Track record of managing and influencing senior stakeholders

Experience providing and effectively communicating strategic and tactical recommendations based on data

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with AI/generative AI product design a plus

Experience with TV/streaming interfaces/10 ft design a plus

Experience designing operating systems (e.g., Windows, Android, IOS)

Experience designing on Android or Google Mobile System (GMS)

Experience operationalizing ambitious design concepts into an executable roadmap of meaningful experience improvements

Proficiency with modern design tools (Figma, prototyping tools, AI design tools, vibe coding)

Development knowledge (HTML/CSS, JavaScript) is a plus

USA, WA, Seattle - 164,000.00 - 221,800.00 USD annually

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
