As the Director of Patient Analytics, you will spearhead the analytics team that drives Headway's successful consumer brand and patient marketplace. Your focus will be on achieving measurable growth and enhancing patient impact, collaborating with senior leaders across various departments. This senior leadership position requires you to transform ambiguity into clarity, cultivate a high-performing team, and establish the insights that enable a consumer healthcare business to thrive. Key Responsibilities: Enhance Patient Experience: Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to gain insights into the patient journey, pinpointing high-impact opportunities to boost discovery and conversion. Lead analytics for product modifications, clarifying goals, defining success metrics, diagnosing trade-offs, and ensuring that insights inform roadmap decisions. Develop a robust understanding of patient segmentation and cohort dynamics to highlight who we serve best and identify drop-off points. Drive Patient Growth and Marketing Analytics: Oversee the analytics strategy for consumer acquisition and marketing performance, evaluating channel effectiveness and conversion quality. Work alongside Growth Marketing and Finance teams to optimize budget allocation using data-driven measurements and forecasts. Create an operational framework that communicates marketing performance, funnel health, and unit economics to leadership, converting insights into actions. Establish a Learning Culture: Foster an experimentation-oriented culture across marketing and product, with defined hypotheses and fast iteration cycles. Develop standardized processes to translate insights into actionable strategies. Build and Lead a Remarkable Team: Guide and elevate a team of data scientists and managers, setting clear performance expectations. Recruit and nurture exceptional talent while scaling the team to meet growing demands. Foster a culture of rigor and curiosity, focused on impactful business outcomes. Establish Beyond-Peer Standards: Define metrics and standards across the patient journey, ensuring cohesive alignment across teams. Enable stakeholders with reliable reporting and clear metric definitions. Core Marketing Analytics Focus: Evaluate performance marketing, including channel effectiveness and attribution. Measure the impact of initiatives through robust testing and analysis. Articulate narratives around budget efficiency and growth diagnostics, identifying key levers for improvement. Ideal Candidates Will Have: At least 10 years of analytics experience, with 6+ years in leadership roles. A proven track record of leveraging analytics to drive consumer growth. Strong instincts in marketing analytics, successfully collaborating with growth teams. Exceptional ability to distill complex consumer journeys into actionable metrics. A history of successful team-building and coaching. Expertise in experimental design and causal methods. Experience in cross-functional collaboration for user experience enhancements. A proactive approach to ambiguity and a passion for Headway’s mission of accessible mental healthcare. Compensation & Benefits: The expected base pay for this role ranges from $249,600 to $312,000, depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally, this position may offer equity grants.
