About THE POINT
THE POINT is a Christian nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth and strengthening the community through after-school programs, summer enrichment, educational initiatives, and outreach efforts. We are seeking a Finance Director with nonprofit accounting and grant management experience to join our leadership team and support the organization’s continued growth and impact.
Position Summary The Finance Director oversees THE POINT's financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong fiscal stewardship. This role manages full-cycle accounting functions, including payroll, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting. The Finance Director works closely with the Executive Director and leadership team to resolve discrepancies, strengthen internal controls, and support informed organizational decision-making.
The Finance Director also leads grant financial management, budgeting, forecasting, audit preparation, and nonprofit compliance, including oversight of restricted and unrestricted funds. This position partners with program leadership to ensure financial operations align with the mission and strategic goals of THE POINT.
Key Responsibilities
Full cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and reconciliations
Financial reporting for leadership and board review
Grant management, compliance, and reporting
Budget development, monitoring, and cash flow forecasting
Audit preparation and GAAP compliance
Oversight of restricted and unrestricted funds
Maintenance of internal financial controls
Payroll oversight and compliance
Collaboration with the Executive Director and Program leadership

Qualifications
Three to five years of nonprofit accounting or finance experience
Strong grant management background
Proficiency in QuickBooks and donor management systemsKnowledge of GAAP and nonprofit best practices
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Position may be hybrid eligible after 90 days.
